This Preschool Teacher role is part of PCC’s Teacher Development Pipeline, designed for educators seeking structured experience, coaching, and long-term growth in early childhood education. About the Role
As a Preschool Teacher, you will support classroom instruction, child supervision, and daily program operations. You will work closely with Lead Teachers and program leadership to create safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
This role provides hands-on experience in early childhood education and is well-suited for individuals seeking to grow their skills through daily classroom practice and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate developmentally appropriate group and individual activities
Support children’s emotional, social, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development
Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom and outdoor environments
Supervise children indoors and outdoors
Communicate professionally with families and staff
Follow all health, safety, and supervision protocols
Assist with student transportation using PCC vehicles as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children (formal or informal)
CPR, First Aid, and Mandated Reporter certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
Ability to pass background checks, TB testing, and immunization requirements
Preferred:
Coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE), psychology, sociology, or related fields
Completion of 12 ECE units or 4 core ECE classes
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Physical Requirements
Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 15–20 pounds frequently
Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments

Pay & Schedule
$28.00–$30.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Full-time, year-round
Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
