    Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team at Ridge Child Development Center. This role is responsible for leading a preschool classroom, supporting early learning, and creating a safe, engaging, and structured environment where children can thrive.

    Our program offers a balanced blend of play and academic learning, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about helping young children grow socially, emotionally, and academically during these foundational years.

    Responsibilities

    Create and implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum

    Teach foundational early learning skills, including early literacy and math concepts

    Support children in developing social, emotional, and self-help skills

    Foster a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment

    Use a variety of instructional methods and hands-on learning techniques

    Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members

    Observe, assess, and document student progress toward developmental milestones

    Ensure a clean, safe, and well-managed classroom at all times

    Qualifications

    Meets State of Oregon childcare teacher requirements & current CBR enrollment

    Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)

    Strong understanding of child development and classroom management best practices

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a childcare setting

    Strong problem-solving, organization, and conflict-resolution skills
