About the Role:

Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities:

Plan and implement Montessori-based curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children

Create and maintain a prepared, organized, and engaging classroom environment

Observe and document individual student progress and developmental milestones

Guide children in social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and independence

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities

Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and positive school culture

Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students throughout the school day

Requirements:

Experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children in a classroom setting

Montessori training or certification (AMI or AMS) preferred

Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning strategies

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass a background check and meet California childcare licensing requirements

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
