PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor specific children’s progressive learning skills, document records of learning activities. Assess children using the required assessment tools.
• Create, implement, and/or follow a developmentally appropriate program curriculum.
• Design, implement and/or follow fun, flexible, and interactive that capture children's interest and promote participation.
• Collaborate and partner with the teaching team in documenting children’s developmental progress.
• Support and guide planning process, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment for the entire team’s professional growth.
• Comply with all funder and licensing regulations.
• Supervise, monitor and interact with children, build relationships and emphasize individual learning needs and flexibility, recognizing that a supportive and adaptable approach is critical in ensuring the children’s physical and environmental safety, while fostering appropriate and positive development.
• Demonstrate positive attitude, language, and body language that reflects support and respect to the entire center community: families, children, and co-workers.
• Help to maintain the center classrooms, community spaces and grounds.
• Maintain required records as necessary.
• Utilize Brightwheel for effective parent/staff communication.

· Follow ECERS/ITERS when setting up indoor and outdoor environments.

Build positive relationships with parents, children, and staff to foster social emotional growth and development and learning.

Support children’s social and emotional development through the direct teaching of emotional literacy, emotional regulation, and problem-solving strategies and friendship skills.

• Diapering and use age-appropriate toilet learning strategies. Partner with parents to support toilet learning.

• Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training as scheduled.
