Preschool Teacher – Early Childhood Education Location: The Learning Experience – Pewaukee, WI Pay: $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Pewaukee is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of children approximately 2.5–3 years old.

This is an exciting stage of early childhood development. Children are building language, independence, friendships, self-help skills, and confidence as they prepare for the preschool years. We're looking for a teacher who can create a nurturing, structured classroom while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5–3 years old

Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum

Create engaging experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, literacy, and hands-on exploration

Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development

Encourage independence, developing self-help skills, and positive peer relationships

Support toileting readiness and classroom transitions

Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance

Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation

Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families

Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership

Follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred

Experience working with older toddlers or preschool-age children preferred

CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented

Ability to meet Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
