    Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, passionate, creative and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of students 18 months -2-year-olds through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs. At UPNS we are dedicated to shaping, nurturing and contributing to the lives of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through thoughtful and meaningful interactions.

    You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential while working as a team with 3 teachers and parents that volunteer in the class once a month. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

    Responsibilities

    Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interest of young children

    Assist children with developing social and emotional skills

    Communicate with parents and other school personnel

    Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

    Support and guide children through the potty-training process, implementing age-appropriate strategies and positive reinforcement

    Ensure a safe and clean learning environment by following essential procedures and guidelines

    Qualifications

    Must have at minimum 12 units of ECE coursework.

    Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

    Two years of professional experience in a childcare, daycare, or preschool settings

    Problem-solving and mediation skills

    AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred

    CPR/AED certified

    Fingerprinting and background check required
