    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic Head Chef to lead our nutrition center's experiential teaching kitchen. This individual will posses a unique blend of culinary expertise, focusing on healthy, tasty, and innovative cooking. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for nutrition and healing foods to the table, crafting dishes that not only delight the palate but also the well-being of our clients.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and curate a diverse menu of healthy, tasty and innovative dishes for the teaching kitchen.

    Lead and conduct cooking classes, ensuring each session is educational, engaging and fun for participants.

    Educate attendees on the nutritional value of dishes, including the benefits of specific ingredients and how to incorporate healing foods into daily meals.

    Create a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages participation and learning.

    Collaborate with nutritionists and dieticians to align cooking classes with nutritional goals and guidelines.

    Stay updated on the latest culinary trends and nutritional research to continually enrich the curriculum.

    Key Qualifications:

    High school diploma/GED

    Extensive previous culinary experience

    Certification from culinary school Preferred

    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification

    Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes

    Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure

    Excellent management and leadership skills
