    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the procurement and management of inventory as well as specialized purchasing duties. Perform operational focused duties as they are assigned.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

    • Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organization staff and vendors. Competencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
    • Manage buy line parameters within scope of company policy
    • Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully formed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
    • Procure product based on Eclipse Operating System
    • Develop and manage supplier relationships
    • Build ownership of product group
    • Acquire knowledge of products through training and education
    • Review, manage and reconcile slow moving inventory
    • Work with AP to resolve pricing discrepancies
    • Work toward reducing product cost
    • Strive to continually remove costs from the supply chain
    • Specialized responsibilities include:
    • Expediting, Hot queues, Dead stock, Returns, Special projects
    • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

    • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
    • Associates Degree; or
    • 1 - 3 years' of related experience and/or training; or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills
    • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
    • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
    • Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
    • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
    • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

    • Long and varied hours required occasionally
    • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
    • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
    • Ability to work in dusty conditions

     PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
