Press Brake Operator

Pay: $22-25/hr.

Shift: Mon-Thu (3:30pm to 2am) - Must be able to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is looking for Press Brake / Machine Operator candidates for a 2nd shift opportunity in a metal shop.  Multiple positions are available for the rolling mills and press brake equipment.  All experience level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a metal shop environment
• Experience reading and working off a blueprint
• Willingness to learn new machinery
• Experience with an overhead crane is ideal
• Strong math skills; ability to read a tape measure

Job Duties:

• Commitment to a safe work environment, quality product, and teamwork
• Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
• Watch operating equipment to detect malfunctions
• Reshape metal to established specifications
• Feed materials into and through equipment
• Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements
• Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences
• Study blueprints or other instructions to determine equipment setup requirements
• Draw guidelines or markings on materials as needed
• Load and lift materials into and out of machines
• Lift materials or workpieces using cranes or other lifting equipment
• Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts a plus
• Maintain and clean equipment bringing any maintenance issues to the attention of your lead
• Monitor lubrication of equipment
• Operate grinding equipment
• Operate cutting equipment
• Operate welding equipment as needed
• Smooth metal surfaces or edges
• Strong math skills
