Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications
- Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet required standards
- Assemble fabricated parts using hand tools and other equipment as necessary
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Select appropriate tooling for each job and make adjustments as needed
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials and finished products
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
- Familiarity with various hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
