Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining brake press machines, reading and interpreting blueprints, and producing high-quality metal parts according to specifications. This role requires keen attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal and metal parts according to specifications. (Amada RG-50, RG-100)

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production orders.

Adjust machine settings, including back gauge and ram, to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.

Inspect completed workpieces for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments.

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and achieve quality standards.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Brake Press Operator or in a similar role.

Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings; skilled in brake press machine setup and operation. (Limited Training Provided)

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision, quality, and safety.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments quickly.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment: Manufacturing environment; experience adhering to shop safety standards is preferred.
