    Press Brake Operator

    Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

    Who we are:

    We are a premier custom metal fabrication shop located in Northeast Ohio that serves the aerospace and power generation industries. With a team of 50 dedicated employees, we are expanding our production capacity to meet increased customer demand. Our facility focuses on high-precision, low-volume components that require expert craftsmanship.

    Press Brake Operator Role:

    This role is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC press brakes to produce precision-bent metal parts. The operator ensures all components meet strict quality standards and engineering specifications to support the downstream assembly process.

    Press Brake Operator Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate CNC press brakes to produce parts according to blueprints
    • Select, change, and align tooling based on material thickness and bend requirements
    • Perform first-piece inspections using calipers, protractors, and height gauges
    • Adjust machine settings and programming to maintain part tolerances
    • Load and unload heavy metal sheets onto the machine bed
    • Document production counts and quality checks in the ERP system
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area according to safety standards
    • Collaborate with the shop foreman to optimize production schedules

    Press Brake Operator Reporting Relationships:

    The Press Brake Operator reports directly to the Shop Foreman and has no direct reports.

    About You:

    • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC press brakes
    • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret complex industrial blueprints
    • Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers accurately
    • Understand bend allowances and material spring-back characteristics
    • Lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
    • Display a strong commitment to workshop safety and PPE compliance
    • Work effectively in a fast-paced job shop environment
