Press Brake/Shear Operator (2nd Shift)

Shift: Mon-Fri (3:30pm to 1am) - Training may be required on first shift

Pay: $22-26/hr.

Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Shear/Press Brake Operator to join our team at a leading structural steel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating mechanical or hydraulic shear and brake press machines to form, bend, and cut metal components according to blueprint specifications and job orders.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience operating shear and/or Press Brake machinery in a metal fabrication or structural steel environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate shear and Press Brake equipment for processing structural steel components
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to determine required specifications
• Inspect raw materials and finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Adjust machine settings for material type, thickness, and desired dimensions
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed
• Work collaboratively with shop personnel to meet production deadlines and quality standards
