    Job Description

    As the Electronic Health Record (HER) Technical Product Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our EHR product portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy that integrates our diverse set of products into third-party EHR systems. Your strategic vision, industry knowledge, collaboration with EHR partners, and cross-functional leadership with product and development organizations will enable seamless integration of Human Experience (HX) insights into EHRs. As a leader and champion of innovation, you will be at the forefront of improving the Human Experience of healthcare.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop and articulate a clear and compelling product strategy for our EHR offerings, considering market trends, customer feedback, partner EHR interests, companywide planned and existing product offerings and roadmaps, and business objectives.
    2. Product Roadmap: Create a comprehensive EHR integration roadmap that aligns with the strategic vision, prioritizes feature development, and ensures timely delivery. Cohesively connect EHR integration roadmap with organization wide product and technical roadmaps, and with EHR existing and planned capabilities,
    3. Product Lifecycle: Translate EHR integration roadmap into requirements and user stories for product organization to understand problems and desired outcomes. Coordinate with product organization to align EHR integration product roadmap into quarterly product roadmaps and lifecycle execution.
    4. Market Research: Stay current with industry trends, competitive analysis, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovation.
    5. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with EHR partner development leads and internal cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, and sales, to ensure alignment with the product strategy and effective execution.
    6. Customer and Partner Engagement: Engage with customers and EHR partners, gather feedback, and incorporate user insights into the product development process to enhance user experience and satisfaction.
    7. Integration and Technical Expertise: Understand the wide-ranging technical and application complexities of integrating diverse products into third-party EHR systems, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for healthcare providers.
    8. Financial Analysis: Monitor product performance, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product investments.
    9. Oversight: Provide cross-functional oversight for EHR integration product development initiatives, including pilot projects, product enhancements, and new product development.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Progressively responsible experience (3+ years) in healthcare technical product management or product strategy, with a focus on EHR solutions.
    • Minimum 3 years of Epic technical experience such as application support, development, infrastructure, or interfaces. End user and champion experience do not fulfill this requirement.
    • History of bringing new innovative products to an EHR market.
    • Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, including EHR systems, especially Epic, and interoperability standards.
    • Self-starter with an action bias and a proven track record of results, who can think strategically, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute methodically.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and communicating technical concepts, including analyzing trade-offs of work effort, scalability, and extensibility.
    • Expertise in handling inter-dependent relationships by reconciling competing interests, including distinguishing between wants and needs, aligning needs with user requirements, and strategically harmonizing customer and third-party EHR goals with our company's objectives to chart a successful path.
    • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a sense of ownership, initiative, accountability, and shared vision, even in the absence of formal managerial authority.

    Education

    Bachelor’s Degree, in a related field required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
