Position Summary- 1st shift!
The Press Operator is responsible for safely operating production press equipment to manufacture quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient machine operation, accurate part production, and adherence to safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor press machines according to production specifications.
- Perform routine quality checks on parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and standards.
- Load raw materials into the press and remove finished parts.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain proper operation and product quality.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and use of PPE.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or quality issues immediately.
- Complete required production documentation, including counts, inspections, and shift logs.
- Assist with basic press maintenance and tooling changes as directed.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous press operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, measurements, and basic blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and raw materials.
- Must follow all company safety and quality procedures.
