Job Description
We have an exciting new position for a Press Support Laborer in our Flexographic Press Department. In this role, you will assist press operators with the setup, operation, and maintenance of the printing press. On-the-job training will be conducted for this role, lasting approximately 4-6 weeks, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The shift will be Monday-Friday 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
THE ROLE
Printing Press Support: Stage jobs (print cylinders, anilox rolls, ink chambers) for upcoming work. Break down completed jobs and load components into washers. Load rolls of material onto the press. Set up the next job, including installing print cylinders, anilox rolls, and dies.
**Team Communication & Safety: **Communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or quality to the Press Operator or Supervisor. Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Help reduce waste and maintain quality standards. Keep the press area clean and organized.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or equivalent. Consistent work history. Prior experience in a manufacturing or printing company is highly beneficial.
SKILLS: Strong attention to detail and ability to spot color differences. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn press operations. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use a metric ruler and measure precisely. Comfortable using a utility knife safely. Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn.
ABILITIES: THIS ROLE IS ONSITE IN OMAHA, NE and requires the ability to work at our office at 132nd & L Street. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to printing inks, solvents, and moving mechanical parts. Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen, physical assessments, audio, and color vision test.
