Our dental practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced EDDA to provide support to our dentist and hygienists, and high-quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities: • Assist the dentist in performing various dental procedures to ensure efficient patient care. • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment. • Capture pre and post-op x-rays and intraoral photos for comprehensive patient assessment. • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist throughout treatments to facilitate smooth workflow. • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions for optimal dental health. • Execute basic laboratory tasks like pouring models and crafting temporary crowns to support treatment plans. • Maintain precise patient records and documentation to ensure accurate treatment histories. • Coordinate patient appointments and manage the schedule effectively for streamlined operations. • Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth, shaping them to the correct contour for functional aesthetics. Qualifications: • To qualify as an EDDA in Colorado Springs, CO, US, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent. • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program is required for this role. • Radiology certification is a must-have credential for this position. • EDDA/EFDA certification is preferred for applicants. • You must possess knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments. • Proficiency in using dental software systems like Open Dental and Dentrix is essential. • Familiarity with dental coding and billing processes is a key requirement. • A strong understanding of anatomy and oral health is necessary. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this job. Compensation: $25 - $27 hourly
