    Job Details:

    The main responsibilities of the communications assistant role within the marketing industry are to assist in the promotion of the industry, ensuring a positive sales profile both internally and externally. Building relationships with stakeholders and liaising with external offices to identify news and communications opportunities.

    Salary Range: $49000 - $59000 per year

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide immediate assistance to families and other stakeholders seeking support from the President’s office.
    • Act as a liaison between the President and outside vendors (i.e. edit/review communications materials, contracts, process payments, etc.).
    • Manage President and agency LinkedIn accounts. This includes monitoring account activity, creating weekly content, and keeping abreast of industry and agency news.
    • Assist in the organization/facilitation of high-profile guest visits and agency-wide events involving the President.
    • Develop, manage and curate day-to-day internal/external communications activities, including writing emails, newsletters, press releases, letters of support and other content.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field
    • Writing portfolio that demonstrates experience translating complex topics into compelling copy
    • Experience utilizing various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) for promoting content or thought leadership
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Strong understanding of the news media, existing media relationships preferred
