Preston Trail Student Ministry (PTSM) Summer Intern
JOB OVERVIEW
12 Weeks full time May 15th, 2024, through August 7th, 2024
Partner with Preston Trail Student Ministry (middle school and high school) for hands-on leadership and discipleship experience. Main priorities in this role are:
Learn, execute and evaluate ministry projects requiring creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Assist in creating summer programming and a welcoming environment to point students to Jesus
Learn how to build relationships with students and have discipleship conversations
Help integrate students into the ministry, getting them connected with other students and their leader
Plan, prep, execute and experience overnight camp (and other events) behind the scenes and learn about what it takes to pull off big ministry moments
Engage in weekly service and leadership opportunities
Pastoral care development by learning how to care for students, parents, and volunteers
Work with and begin to learn how to develop teams of volunteers
Full engagement in Preston Trail staff and church culture

Willing to take the initiative to ask questions and solicit feedback
Possesses the desire to develop as a disciple of Christ and ministry leader
Either currently pursuing (or interested in learning more about) vocational ministry
Must have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus
Must have a love for students and a passion for growing the next generation of Christ followers
Experienced in leading small groups
Committed to full time work for these 12 weeks, including Sundays, camp and other events as necessary
If taking summer school classes, only one 3-hour class allowed
Must have completed 1-year in college by Summer 2023
