Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC is seeking a Full Time AM Grille Cook. Come be a part of our award winning Culinary team! This hands-on position reports directly to and works under the direction of the Oak Room Chef. Responsible for assisting Oak Room Chef in daily production of food products used for private event functions, including breakfast, lunch & afternoon breaks, daily lunch and Sunday Brunch buffet, and other club functions. Must be a quick learner, self-motivated; and able to perform food production tasks without direct supervision. Must have some prior cooking experience.
Job responsibilities include:
Strong knowledge of basic knife skills, use of various cooking methods, and operation of basic kitchen equipment
Reviews requests for banquets and follows preparation sheets accepting duties as assigned by the Oak Room Chef
Responsible for pulling of items from storage areas and stocking Main kitchen with ingredients specific to buffets and functions
Must handle multiple tasks in a high volume environment, and manage workload to meet set deadlines
Ability to work as a team member, organizes, and prioritizes duties as assigned by Chef and function sheets.
Assists Oak Room Chef in set up, maintenance, and breaking down of all club lunch and private event buffets and functions
Must have a minimum of 1 year cooking experience.
