Summary:
The School-Based Prevention Education Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of school-based prevention curricula. This includes serving as a liaison between Scott County School Districts 1 & 2 and Scott County Partnership. This person will also be responsible for data collection, grant writing and evaluation of program effectiveness. This will also assist with community-based education and prevention efforts and organizational administrative duties.

- Highly competent and professional
- Knowledge, experience, and abilities in youth development & education
- Skilled Manager of projects, programs and/or large initiatives
- Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize projects
- Advanced analytical, writing, and verbal presentation skills
- Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a variety of people
- Act as a team player
- Proficient in the use of Office computer programs and the internet
- Ability to manage multiple program and event budgets
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- Prevention experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Attend all prevention trainings as required by funders
- Participate in curriculum training
- Implement evidence-based curricula with fidelity
- Data collection and grant writing
- Complete all required reports
- Maintain positive working relationships with both Scott County school districts
- Complete classroom instruction of evidence-based practices
- Manage groups of students in a classroom setting
- Manage program budgets and reporting
- Actively participate in community coalitions and events that may take place during evenings and weekends
- Assist Community-Based Prevention Education Director and Executive Director
- Coordinate all aspects of the Summer Food Service Program
- Collaborate with other Scott County Partnership staff for support, networking, and information as well as to further the missions of Scott County Partnership
- Act as a team player on SCP events including fundraisers and community events.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certified Prevention Specialist certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Child and Youth Care Certified (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:
- ·Ability to carry large bags/boxes of resources from place to place
- ·Ability to use computers and other equipment
- ·Valid driver’s license
- ·Ability to transport and assemble displays for community events
- ·Mobility to travel throughout the community, region and state
