    The Operations Specialist performs data and quality audits daily to ensure services provided are delivered accurately and efficiently while meeting the service level standards specified by clients.  The primary responsibility of an Operations Specialist is ensuring the accuracy and availability of the data that is being acquired via means like web crawling, feeds, aggregation, amongst others, and provided to our clients via our suite of products.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Takes direction from lead and management on priority work
    • Notates their work clearly and efficiently in all tools and assigned tickets
    • Maintains a consistent level of accuracy with all work
    • Regularly updates their lead on the status of work and asks for review of work performed to ensure quality
    • Identify internal tool issues when the web crawler runs into problems
    • Constantly strive to automate as many tasks, configurations, sellers and clients in order to minimize the cost of ongoing maintenance
    • Perform Seller Setup and Maintenance - Write Regex (parse definitions), Scripts, JSON or other as needed
    • Understand the proper use of AutoMatch, Alexandria Omni Crawler, Seller Product Feed Match, and the entire matching process
    • Retrieve product data for websites where web crawler is not suitable for use
    • Creation and maintenance of parse definitions for web crawlers used to extract pertinent information
    • Audit client products regularly to ensure they are listed accurately online
    • Report any system anomalies in a proactive manner
    • Provide proactive assistance to all members of the team
    • Other duties may be assigned, such as account setup specialization

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of regular expressions preferred, but not required
    • Simple data analysis (for example, simple SQL queries)
    • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Create, implement and/or fix new definitions, regex, etc. for clients' products and seller sites to improve matching and related functionality as needed
    • Documentation capabilities
    • Ability to adapt and be agile as needed in a fast-paced growing environment
    • Strong communication via email, IM, in-person, etc.

    • Team player
    • Degree preferred, but not required
