    CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE I

    PrideStaff San Diego is excited to be supporting our client, a leader in the logistics industry, who is based in San Diego. They are currently seeking Customer Service Associates, which supports the Aftermarket by providing high customer service clients dealers and distributors regarding sales orders, plant transfers, parts availability, parts pricing, supplier information, or any other customer requests or needs.

    This is a full-time, temporary to direct opportunity, in-office, Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 4:30 pm). The hourly pay rate is up to $26.83 per hour DOE.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Processes sales orders, purchase orders, and update delivery status to team and customers
    • Resolves issues to fulfill orders promptly
    • Facilitates pricing requests and lead-time requests for stock or non-stock parts from the client or other suppliers
    • Communicates with the outsourcing department to track all fabricated and purchased components
    • Escalates issues or missed deadline time to management to achieve committed delivery date
    • Processes and maintain records of all freight bills on all shipments
    • Creates and process credit and debit memos for special sales, claims, and returns
    • Processes and manage any customer claims (damaged, lost, wrong, or missing parts)
    • Upon payment confirmation received from Accounting Department, updates and archive Sales Orders
    • Follow up with customers on all outstanding Account Receivables and late payments
    • Answers inbound phone calls from customers promptly and politely
    • Receives and responds to customer requests using email and phone calls
    • Aid customers with Aftermarket sales support such as tracking packages, shipments, weekly stock orders, return authorizations, and processing shipping discrepancies
    • Provides part cross-reference information to customers
    • Exceeds customers’ expectations by demonstrating the highest level of customer service
    • Follows up with internal or external parties to provide prompt solutions for customers
    • Effectively diffuses high-tension situations with customers
    • Communicates any urgent customer service issues to management
    • Continuously improves processes to become more efficient
    • Performs to exceed department and company goals
    • Executes any other duties assigned by management

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • 2+ years of experience in customer service required
    • Sales support experience
    • Purchase Order experience
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Logistics experience preferred (but not required)
    • Ability and able to learn about the logistics/shipping industry
    • Excellent and high attention to detail
    • Able to multitask and meet various deadlines
    • Data entry skills and high accuracy
    • Very good general computer skills
    • Good Excel knowledge + must be willing and able to learn and regular perform V-Lookup and other formulas
    • High school diploma or GED required.
