    ORDER DESK / CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Our client, a leading Home Improvement and Interior Design company in the Stone, Tile and Slab industry, is in need of an Order Desk / Customer Service associate due to growth.

    The are based in the Miramar Area, the role pays up to $18 per hour DOE, is full-time, and some Saturdays are required for this role.

    JOB OVERVIEW

    To assist the Manager in providing the Customers with the best possible buying experience, product delivery, and after-sale service. And to assist the Manager in maximizing the efficiency of the Customer Order Process.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provides excellent customer service and effective phone skills.
    • Ensures that all commitments made to customers and coworkers are reasonable and can be met.
    • Maintains a high level of product knowledge and actively seeks out new information.
    • Possesses an in-depth awareness of the different branch operations and how they relate to one another.
    • Demonstrates a willingness and ability to work within a team environment.
    • Maintains a knowledge of competitors and their products.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in using company computer applications.
    • Serves as an effective, courteous, direct contact for their customers.
    • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of our products and is able to promote sales of those products to their customers.
    • Engages in problem solving by actively listening to customers and coworkers.
    • Balances ongoing projects with the more immediate demands of the Order Desk.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 2 years of recent customer service experience.
    • Excellent customer service and phone skills
    • Knowledge of design elements: size, proportion, color, balance and light is a plus.
    • Prior work experience working with stone, granite or slabs preferred but not required.
    • Good computer skills required
    • Detail oriented
    • Good basic math skills.
    • Willing to learn and grow with the company.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
    • Reliable transportation to Miramar area.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands, frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
