    PROJECT (& SOCIAL MEDIA) ASSISTANT

    PrideStaff San Diego has a great opportunity with one of the best organizations in San Diego. We are seeking a person that likes to wear many hats and THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION (20 HOURS PER WEEK), AND IS A TEMPORARY TO DIRECT OPPORTUNITY.

    The key items for this role is that you have EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL, being ORGANIZED, has some ACCOUNTING experience, knows WORDPRESS, FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS (verbal and written), and that CAN WORK INDEPENDENTLY. This is a part remote, part in-office position to begin with and in the future it will be solely in-office (timeframe tbd). The client has excellent Covid-19 protocols in place.

    The work hours are 9am to 1pm, Mon – Fri and it pays $18 per hour.

    OVERVIEW:

    THIS POSITION HAS A DUEL ROLE: MARKETING AND ACCOUNTING.

    Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, you will provide direct support to the accounting and executive department. However, this role is more marketing/social media/administrative based (approx. 75%) with 25% helping their Accounting Department. Accounting experience is preferred but if you have the marketing/social media/administrative experience and has excellent attention to detail. the financial part can be trained.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:

    You will perform various accounting-related duties in support of the organization’s financial obligations. Additionally, you will be supporting of the organization’s social media platforms, event organization support and plays an instrumental role in maintaining the organization’s donor database current. Knowing Wordpress and social media platforms will be key.

    Financial:

    • Record weekly accounts receivable charges and invoices into the accounting system
    • Record weekly remote deposits in the accounting system
    • Assist in monthly preparation and submission of funder/contractee billings
    • Cross train other accounting and administrative duties as necessary
    • High attention to detail is required
    • Accounting experience is preferred.

    Administrative:

    • Provide general support for the Center’s programs
    • Monitor media resources for information relevant to the Center’s goals
    • Attend inter-organizational meetings
    • Very good computer skills are required (Word, Excel, Email, Calendar)
    • Other duties/special projects as assigned.

    Marketing/Social Media:

    • Assist with the development of the organization’s media resources (monthly newsletter & other promotional material)
    • Help manage the organization’s social media pages
    • Organize and develop original informational material for the organization’s website
    • Must have working experience with Wordpress
    • Must have working experience with various social media platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc)
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Complies with all organization policies and procedures including HIPAA standards
    • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth by attending in-service training and staff development programs, and seeking out supervision when needed
    • Familiar with and understands the organization’s mission, policies, and follows administrative chain of command
    • Attains and maintains a minimum degree of training and knowledge in cultural competency, co-occurring and gender responsiveness and routinely demonstrates these traits in every day work relationships
    • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings, provides feedback and displays a disposition of positive teamwork and accountability
    • Displays regular and reliable attendance. Reports to and departs from work on time, as scheduled, and accurately reflects all time on time card
    • Follows the organization’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program that promotes workplace safety

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Training or volunteer work in a related field and/or lived experience
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a combination of lived experience, preferred
    • Bilingual, American Sign Language certified preferred, but not required.
