Our CPA firm client in Carrollton is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team on a Direct Hire basis! This firm has a laid back environment with room to grow; you could even one day become a Partner!

Compensation: 75-95K DOE

Duties:

• Preparation of individual, corporation, and partnership income tax returns.
• Preparation of accountants’ prepared financial statements, financial analysis, and assessment for tax planning purposes, and preparation of tax projections.
• Preparation of sales tax returns, payroll and payroll tax return filings.
• Working closely with firm principals to support client consulting engagements, financial analyses, and project assignments.
• Small business accounting review/cleanup to support tax return preparation.
• Working directly with clients to provide accounting support to in-house staff, reconciling bank statements, maintaining General Ledger postings, maintaining depreciation schedules, payroll reconciliation, and related tasks.
• Correspondence with IRS for resolution of tax issue

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in tax preparation highly preferred
• Experience with Lacerte Tax preparation software a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Operational experience in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
• Excellent communication skills
