Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Houston, 77073 Compensation: $18 - $22 /hour DOE Schedule: Monday - Friday , 8am - 5pm Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk will support accounts payable with daily accounting tasks. Essential Job Duties: · Support the entry of all incoming bills into QuickBooks · Follow monetary limit guidelines and disburse invoices for approval by their approver · Responsible for the printing and mailing of checks as needed · Fill in the accounts payable portion of the Cash Forecast report biweekly · Stay up to date with all recurring payment and ensure all are paid on time · Assist with the retrieval of monthly statements · Handle communication with vendors via phone or email · Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion · Responsible for keeping all vendors on the Reference list up to date and paid on terms · Responsible for ensuring that any bills placed on hold are resoled immediately · Create new vendors in QuickBooks after approval from management Non-Essential Job Duties: · Support accounts receivable as needed · Provide phone support as needed · Perform basic office tasks such as filing Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Excellent interpersonal and customer service skill · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Education and Experience: · High school diploma or GED certificate preferred · Industry experience preferred Physical Requirements: · Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and work on a computer · Must be able to transport 15 pounds at times Company Description Today's job market is ultra-complex.
