    Job Description

    A well-established manufacturing firm in Aliso Viejo is seeking to fill an entry-level, inside sales position. The company specializes in high-tech markets such as semiconductor fabrication equipment, medical equipment, aerospace, and robotics, providing a multitude of components, both mechanical and electrical, to address motion control needs. A successful candidate will be able to use their engineering expertise and dynamic personality to understand customer requirements, develop solutions that meet the requirements and propose those solutions in either quote or proposal format. This position is responsible for both inbound inquiries and maintaining relationships with the current customer base.

    THIS IS A DIRECT-HIRE OPPORTUNITY.

    COMPENSATION: $60,000-$70,000 (based on experience), with quarterly commissions

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Uses engineering principles to develop appropriate solutions
    • Ensures customers select client as their supplier
    • Engages with the customer on technical subject matter to develop solutions
    • Quotes - Responds to requests from customers for information
    • Regularly asks for and receives commitments
    • Contacts customers to follow-up on orders, quotes, and other pending issues
    • Level One Application Support on assigned products and technologies
    • Diligent and timely follow-up on orders, quotes, and website inquiries
    • Manages customer needs and expectations and coordinates internal support to exceed both
    • Other projects as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field or equivalent
    • 2 years experience in a sales support or engineering role
    • Mechatronics degree a plus
    • Factory automation experience is highly desired
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to do basic math as well as understand basic engineering principals
    • Strong initiative and sense of urgency
    • Results-driven
    • Strong organization skills
    • Comfortable discussing money
    • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team and take on new tasks with varying levels of difficulty.
