Exciting Junior Accountant opportunity for a well established Engineering Firm in San Ramon, CA that has been awarded as a great place to work!

Our client is seeking an energetic, hard-working and motivated individual who seeks to develop a career as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving, organizational and math skills, as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines.

What you will be doing:

• Assist with full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing.
• Compile and analyze data sets for relevant patterns and financial indicators.
• Perform internal expense audits.
• Office lease reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Review time and expenses for accuracy.
• Process prevailing wage/certified payroll requests.
• Assist with multiplier billing rates in accordance with Caltrans and FAR guidelines.
• Assist with annual audits.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field required.
• 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience required.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Self-starter and detail-oriented with strong ethical standards and high level of accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and experience in other basic computer programs.
• 10-key by touch desired.
• Have an inherent interest in accounting/finance and a strong desire to learn.
• Strong team player with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities to automate and enhance our processes.
