    Food production company in Hanford/Lemoore area is seeking an AP Specialist with Inventory experience.

    This individual will perform Accounts Payable functions, including coding vendor invoices, matching invoices with receiving documents (packing lists, purchase orders) and entering invoices into the Peachtree accounting system. They will also be responsible for ordering machinery parts and materials to keep inventory levels full and assist with other administrative duties.

    AP/Purchasing Responsibilities:

    Daily processing of Accounts Payables documents.

    Monitor Budgets for Departments and email monthly reports to managers.

    Issue Purchase orders with appropriate approvals and follow up with vendors.

    Individual will schedule and coordinate the delivery of raw materials to be used for production.

    Audit AP accounts

    Individual will meet regularly with the CFO to discuss work activity.

    Coordinate supply receiving and inspection procedure.

    Reconcile paste freight and powder sales freight.

    Reconcile raw material and consumables at month end.

    Gather required documents for Fixed Assets and Sales and use tax reporting

    Accruals of unreceived invoices at month end (raw material, consumables, freight)

    Inventory Specialist Responsibilities:

    Directly responsible for purchasing parts, raw materials, consumables, office supplies and
    maintaining appropriate inventory levels for a maintenance supply room. Will search for parts via catalogs, internet, and phone calls.

    Individual will conduct weekly/monthly audits to ensure accuracy of parts and raw material
    inventory levels.

    Continuously review and adjust Min/Max levels based on department needs.

    Individual will meet regularly with the Maintenance Manager to discuss work activity.

    Prepare journal entries for items consumed by maintenance department.

    Cleanliness of inventory warehouses (Connex & mezzanine) clear of debris dispose of broken parts safely

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    Will assist with clerical duties such as filing, answering phones and greeting guests when
    necessary.

    Perform vendor performance reviews. Ensure supplier documents are current.

    Serves as administrative support to all department managers.

    Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance for forklifts, fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers,
    doors, monthly boiler emissions testing, chemical disposal, etc.

    Fill out credit references for customers

    Ensure that company permits and required vendor documents are up to date.

    Assist department managers with keeping SDS binders up to date.

    Will serve as the backup to the Customer Service position.

    Must be willing to perform other duties not listed in this job description.

    Position Requirements:

    Schedule would mainly consist of Monday to Friday but must be willing to work overtime in
    emergency situations.

    Must have strong administrative and computer skills. Experience in Excel and Microsoft Word.

    Will be required to use Peachtree Accounting Software.

    Should possess general accounting knowledge (debits/credits, AP Processing, Financial
    Statements)

    Bi-Lingual is preferred but not required.

    Must possess a great attention to detail.

    Must possess a positive attitude and be a team player.

    This person will be interacting with various vendors, co-workers, and management on a daily basis so good communication skills are a must.

    2 years College or equivalent experience.

    Ability to multitask.

    Person should work well with numbers for mathematical calculations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.

    The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    The employee is required to lift packages with varying weights.
