CREATIVE WEB DEVELOPER

Primal Screen is looking for a full-time temporary Creative Web Developer who loves to learn and who wants to be part of a great team. You will work closely with our animation and design team to bring stories to life, and your contribution will add surprise and delight to projects ranging from children's media to museum installations…and more! About the position: THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION, HOWEVER YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US. WE ARE OFFERING A 6-MONTH FREELANCE WORK ENGAGEMENT WITH AN IMMEDIATE START. Our studios are located in Atlanta, however, we're working in a Covid-safe, fully-remote modality.

Using your skills and talents, you will work in our team-based environment to create:

• Promotional microsites and web experiences
• Web-based educational games with rich, high-quality animation
• Curriculum-focused tools and activities for new educational platforms

The ideal candidate will have these skills and traits:

• 2+ years developing web-based games and interactive experiences
• Proficiency with modern HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Experience using Git or other version control systems for collaboration
• Ability to learn and quickly pick up new platforms and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with artists and producers
• Flexible
• Collegial
• Ability to work collaboratively in an atmosphere fostering dignity and respect

Extra credit for experience with any of the following:

• PixiJS, ThreeJS, or other canvas frameworks
• GSAP, Spine, or other javascript animation frameworks
• Adobe tools and programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and Animate
• Git or another version control system
• Gulp, Webpack, or similar build tools
