    ORDER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (HOUSTON, TX)

    WE SELL FIREARMS AND FIREARMS ACCESSORIES.

     

    JOB OVERVIEW

     

    At Primary Arms, we pride ourselves on working hard and enjoying what we do! The Order Operations Specialist will ensure the accurate handling of dealer sales orders within the Optics Division to reach divisional and organizational objectives and goals. He/she will not only work hands on across all stages of a dealer sales order, but also maintain active and positive communication with wholesale customers daily. He/she will also work with the Order Operations Manager to coordinate demand status and changes between the Sales Department and the Procurement Department. He/she will work closely with his\her team and upper management to not only ensure that the department runs smoothly and efficiently, but is also a welcoming, rewarding and safe place to work.

    The position will be in house in Houston, TX. The Order Operations Specialist will report to the Order Operations Manager of Primary Arms Optics Division.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Services (a) large domestic key accounts, and (b) international accounts of all sizes

    ·         Tracks, monitors, and coordinates dealer sales orders

    ·         Archives all paperwork associated with sales orders

    ·         Communicates to sales team on order status

    ·         Coordinates payment collections and shipment schedules with the sales team

    ·         Responds to customer requests related to sales orders and returns

    ·         Responds to information requests related to orders from internal departments throughout the organization

    ·         Assists the Order Operations Manager to design, develop, and maintain streamlined order processes and workflows

    ·         Coordinates and ensures timely dispatch of samples

    ·         Responsible for fulfilling orders in an accurate and timely manner

    ·         Responsible for the accuracy of import and export documents related to international sales

    ·         Relays customer feedback and new product inquiries to the Product Development team

    ·         Assists with special projects, if any

    ·         Records information and ensures quality of data in NetSuite and other internal systems that support sales and production

    ·         Additional tasks, as assigned, within the Primary Arms Team

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         High school graduate

    ·         2-3 years of related work experience

    ·         Skilled in Microsoft office, especially Excel and Word

    ·         Must type fast and accurately

    ·         Professional manner and leadership

    ·         Excellent critical thinking skills

    ·         Pleasant personality

    ·         PC proficiency

    ·         High productivity

    ·         Dependability

    ·         Ability to set and meet deadlines

    ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         Familiar with international logistic and trade regulations

    ·         2 years’ experience in wholesales within the firearms industry

    ·         2 year Associate Degree in business or related fields

    ·         Experience with NetSuite a plus

    ·         Bilingual in French, German, or Spanish

    ·         Understanding and/or passion for optics and outdoor shooting sports

    ·         The desire to grow and improve processes

    ·         Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner

The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    HOURS: 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. / MONDAY – FRIDAY; SUBJECT TO WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS, AS NEEDED, DURING PEAK SEASONS.
