About the Position

Allmed Staffing is hiring Primary Care Physicians to support the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Physicians provide comprehensive primary care services to veteran patients in a collaborative clinical environment.

Providers work with nurses, pharmacists, mental health professionals, and specialty physicians as part of the VA Patient Aligned Care Team model.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive care and routine primary care services

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and heart disease

• Perform physical exams and patient evaluations

• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and labs

• Coordinate care with specialists and behavioral health providers

• Document care in the VA electronic health record system

• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

Requirements

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Active unrestricted medical license in any US state

• Active DEA registration

• NPI number

• Ability to pass VA credentialing and background screening
