    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive medical services at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, conduct intake health screenings, and oversee preventive care programs for the inmate population under Bureau of Prisons healthcare standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, sick call assessments, and chronic care clinic visits
    • Manage chronic disease programs including diabetes, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and cardiovascular conditions per BOP clinical practice guidelines
    • Perform intake physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
    • Order and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory work, imaging, and EKGs
    • Prescribe medications within BOP formulary guidelines and manage controlled substance documentation
    • Respond to medical emergencies and provide acute stabilization
    • Coordinate specialty referrals and outside hospital transfers
    • Maintain clinical documentation in the BOP electronic health record system
    • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and infection control committees

    Required Qualifications

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
    • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
    • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain)
    • Active DEA registration
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Correctional medicine or community health center experience
    • Familiarity with BOP Health Services Division clinical practice guidelines
    • ACA or NCCHC accreditation experience

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $220,000 - $280,000 annually
