Primary Care Physician (PCP) – Addiction Medicine

We’re hiring a Primary Care Physician who wants excellent earning potential, a predictable weekday schedule, and the opportunity to provide meaningful primary care in a welcoming rural community.

You’ll step into an established outpatient practice focused on comprehensive adult primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. You’ll work alongside a supportive clinical team while enjoying clinical autonomy, manageable patient volume, and the option to incorporate addiction medicine into your practice.

• Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
• 100% outpatient primary care setting
• No pediatrics or obstetrics
• Approximately 16 patients per day
• Phone-only call coverage required
• Full hospitalist service with no hospital rounding
• Collaborative team of 1 physician and 3 advanced practice providers
• Optional addiction medicine opportunity
• Established, patient-centered practice
• Meditech EMR

What makes you a great fit
• You are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• You hold an MD or DO degree and are eligible for Maine medical licensure
• You’re comfortable providing comprehensive adult primary care
• You enjoy diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
• You value preventive medicine, continuity of care, and meaningful patient relationships
• You thrive in a collaborative, community-focused healthcare environment
• Addiction medicine experience is welcome but not required
• J-1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $245,000–$312,000 annually
