Duties

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in person for students in pre-k through elementary school in the following subject areas

Reading/Writing

Mathematics

History/Social Studies

Science

Preference will be given to applicants capable of tutoring in multiple subject areas

• Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation

• Applicants who cannot work at our storefront location in the Broward Mall in Plantation, FL will not be considered

• Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback in session reports to admin, parents/guardians, and teachers

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum

• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

• Reliably commute from client to client

Qualifications

-At least 5 years of education experience working with toddlers

• Previous experience working with students, preferably in a preschool setting or with early childhood education

• Available from 2-4pm Monday - Friday and on Saturdays between 10am-12pm

• Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
