    Job Title: Primary Therapist

    Location: Kendall Office | 9350 Sunset Drive, Miami, FL
    Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
    Compensation: Based on experience and licensure status
    Language Requirement: Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish ( required )

    Must-Have Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology
    • Active Florida licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) or Registered Intern status
    • Fluent in English and Spanish
    • Direct experience working with adolescents and/or families
    • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care , adolescent development, and professional boundaries
    • Ability to facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions with confidence and creativity
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills

    Note: AWA offers a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Interns pursuing licensure.

    About Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA)

    Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is a Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and virtual treatment program for adolescents and their families. Our Kendall location provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care to teens navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. We integrate individual therapy, family systems work, creative group modalities, and compassionate clinical structure to help teens build resilience, insight, and meaningful relationships.

    Role Summary

    We're seeking a passionate and skilled Primary Therapist to join our Kendall clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a dynamic environment, values team collaboration, and is deeply committed to supporting adolescent mental health. As a Primary Therapist, you'll manage a full caseload, engage with families, and lead group therapy sessions that foster growth and healing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry a caseload of adolescents enrolled in PHP and/or IOP programs
    • Facilitate weekly individual therapy sessions and family sessions
    • Provide psychoeducation, family dynamics work, and crisis intervention for caregivers
    • Lead or co-lead daily group therapy sessions (creative, experiential, DBT, or coping skills)
    • Collaborate with the clinical team on treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge coordination
    • Attend weekly clinical meetings and contribute to an interdisciplinary team culture
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, session notes, discharge summaries)
    • Participate in professional development, team-building activities, and occasional community or parent events
