Back Bay Mental Health - Mental Health Outpatient in Boston, right off of the Green Line next to Boston University.

You will have a designated free parking space if you commute by car!

Our mental health outpatient day program runs from 9a to 5p and the evening program runs from 6p-9p.

Must be willing to carry a case load of around 12 clients, run 2-4 groups a week and maybe an evening group on occasion.

Specific Responsibilities:

● Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, as well as education and skills training.

● Complete intake of new clients immediately upon admission.

● Obtain history and presenting information as delineated in program policy.

● Createindividualized treatment plans with clients

● Updates referring sources and family members on patient progress

● Utilize therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing techniques

● Document treatment episodes, contacts, treatment plans and sessions according to payor and company policies and procedures

● Coordinates comprehensive discharge plan to ensure seamless community reintegration.

Minimum Qualifications

● A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Addictions, Psychology or related field is preferred.

● Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Addictions, Psychology or related field is preferred.

● LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, LADC preferred

● At least 2years of experience in a behavioral healthcare or substance abuse settings serving culturally diverse populations.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

● Ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record

● Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

● Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

● Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.

● Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.

● Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
