**** (REMOTE)*****The Retail Loan Processor is responsible for timely processing of Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loan applications in compliance with Bank and investor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with staff members to process a variety of loan documentation on complex loan packages

• Interpret lending policies while analyzing applicant property and documentation

• Order all required verification's, documentation and subsequent follow-ups

• Manage an assigned pipeline of loans and/or assigning new loans to other loan team members

• Ensure compliance with all mortgage banking regulatory requirements and compliance policies related to these requirements, including accepting background check investigation results

• Meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents

• Handle confidential material in a professional and highly ethical manner

• Perform tasks and prioritize with little or no supervision

• Provides follow-up on a consistent basis with originators, borrowers, and agents to complete processing

• Effectively provide professional internal and external communication whether written or verbal

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in Loan Processing

• Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, underwriting policies, compliance, and procedures

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, customers and co-workers

• Excellent time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals

• Excellent computer skills

• Encompass knowledge is a plus

• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

• Strong written and oral communication

• Willingness to adapt to departmental changes as they occur -- as we are growing streamlining our process

• Knowledge of all closing and title documents

• Exemplary customer service skills

• Work effectively in a team environment

• Work effectively in a fast pace environment with low tolerance for error
