The AutoCAD Drafter will focus on supporting multiple business units by developing drawings, modifying diagrams and layouts, and writing specifications to clarify design details.

 Key Duties:

• Work directly with engineers and inside sales to develop drawings, schematics, and diagrams for projects
• Maintain filing systems and reference libraries
• Maintain and create company standard drawing documents
• Verify that drawings meet all customer expectations, contractual agreements, and bid specifications
• Modify existing drawings to reflect necessary changes
• Verify that drawings are accurate, legible, and follow applicable industry codes
• Ensure that all work meets quality assurance process standards
• Adhere to project schedules
• Assist with various related projects as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• AS degree in AutoCAD design/drafting or a closely related field (or equivalent experience) plus two years or more of work experience in a professional CAD design or drafting role
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Revit and Bluebeam are a plus
• Knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, and engineering technology
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and on a team
• Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and with multiple business units
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
