Job Summary The Residential Audio/Video Project Manager is responsible for managing custom home audio/video installation projects from the sales process through to client handover, while optimizing profitability, promoting customer satisfaction, and maintaining Prime ECS’s superior reputation. Project Managers report to Prime's Director of Operations.
Job Functions
Primary responsibility for delivery of Prime ECS projects through all phases including specification, equipment ordering and configuration, installation and client handover
Direct supervision of Prime ECS Technicians on-site during wiring and equipment installation and configuration
Maintenance of proactive communication between Prime ECS and all involved parties, including the client, general contractors, architect, interior/lighting designers, engineers, and consultants
Ensuring timely completion and delivery of project documents to communicate wiring design, layout, aesthetic and programming requirements to field personnel, clients, and others
Managing expectations of the client, general contractors, designers, consultants, etc.
Accurately forecasting and communicating project schedules and timelines
Maintenance of detailed and accurate task lists, timelines, and milestones for each project inside of task management software
Coordination and execution of site walks, including site inspections throughout the construction process and upon the completion of each phase of system installation to ensure quality control
Scheduling and conducting project review and status update meetings internally and externally to ensure that projects stay on schedule for timely completion
Requesting timely purchase of equipment and materials to ensure project remains on task
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent executive functioning skills, including organization, prioritization, delegation, and written/verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to listen to, lead and guide a team
Capable of sharing the company’s vision and core values
Skilled at problem solving and capable of adjusting on the fly
Show enthusiasm for each project and model positivity for the team
Ability to maintain sharp attention to detail throughout all phases of the project
Ability to maintain a customer-focused, service-oriented mindset
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Education and experience required
High school diploma or higher
2+ years of project management experience in the custom home AV and technology industry
Education and experience preferred
Experience interpreting blueprints, construction plan sets, and architectural drawings
Familiarity with control systems, such as Crestron, Lutron and Savant
Knowledge of current industry trends
Training, education, or hands-on experience in the construction, electrical, or AV industries
