Job Description
Our growing company is searching for an an addition to our purchasing department. Someone who has a background working in imports and can help improve efficiency as our sales volume increases. The purchasing manager will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with factories, figuring costing for salespeople and creating and maintaining systems for new and existing orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with others in department to track each products lifecycle, from pre-production through bulk production completion
- Assure that products are produced,shipped and delivered in a timely manner
- Provide costing to our salespeople for their various projects
- Working with our business management system on a daily basis to create purchase orders, update inventory, issue pick tickets amongst other tasks
- sourcing new vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working with an import company
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
