They are currently seeking a caring and highly skilled individual to fill the caregiver/homemaker position. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills to build a warm and friendly relationship with clients and their families. They should also have experience in providing support and assistance to individuals who require help with their daily activities.

    As a caregiver/homemaker, your primary responsibility is to offer support and assistance to those in need, including helping with daily activities and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Your communication skills will be essential in building a strong and trusting relationship with clients and their families. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that your clients feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in their own homes.

    Daily Job Duties

    Assist with the activities of daily living

    Ensure the client’s safety and security by supervising the home environment

    Teach/perform meal planning and preparation, routine housekeeping activities such as making/changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry

    Provide companionship including social interactions, conversations, emotional reassurance, and encouragement of activities that stimulate the mind

    Provides respite care for families in accordance with care plans

    Perform/assist with essential shopping/errands, which may include handling the client’s money in accordance with the care plan and under the observation of the supervisor;

    Assist clients with following a written, special diet plan and reinforcement of diet maintenance, which is provided under the direction of a physician and as identified on the care plan

    Escort clients to medical facilities, errands, shopping, and outings as specified in the care plan

    Assist clients with communication by writing or typing correspondence for them or researching information for them

    Preferred Qualifications

    A minimum of one year of experience in the field

    Experience in prioritizing the needs of a client or individual

    Experience in a nursing home setting

    HHA certification

    Skills and Qualifications

    Exceptional verbal communication skills

    Impeccable attention to detail

    Ability to provide unbiased care

    A valid driver’s license and experience with driving (preferred)

    Excellent multitasking and organization skills
