Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate records of prequalification applications, follow-ups, and outcomes. • Interact with potential borrowers to collect and review initial financial information to determine prequalification eligibility. • Guide applicants through the prequalification process, explaining requirements, documentation needed, and next steps. • Analyze financial documents such as pay stubs, W-2 forms, tax returns, and bank statements to assess the borrower's financial standing. • Verify applicant information for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with lending guidelines. • Communicate prequalification decisions to applicants and provide feedback on the potential loan amount, terms, and conditions. • Collaborate with Loan Officers and Underwriters to review prequalification cases and escalate any complex issues as needed. • Maintain accurate records of prequalification applications, follow-ups, and outcomes. • Stay current on lending regulations, policies, and industry trends related to mortgage prequalification. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing applicant inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the prequalification process. • Meet prequalification targets and performance goals set by management Qualifications: • Having an NMLS license is not required, but is preferred • Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients • Possess an advanced understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc. • Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred • 3+ years of experience in a mortgage environment as a loan officer, loan processor, underwriter or mortgage loan officer assistant or similar position Compensation: $36,000 -$40,000 + Monthly Incentives
