Primo Medical Group is seeking a Design/Mechanical Engineer - Position is “fully on site” to **** join our TEAM!
Job Summary:
Summary: Assist project managers in all phases of the, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools, and machinery. Involved in the installation, operation and maintenance of machinery used to manufacture products. Oversees initial prototyping, assembly, and verification of intended use. Rapidly troubleshoots existing designs and processes and provides viable solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Participate in the, development, and manufacturing of leading-edge medical devices and instrumentation.
Generate specifications, concept models and detailed manufacturing drawings for new and existing products and processes.
Perform and document and process validation protocols in support of development activities.
Develop, evaluate and improve current manufacturing methods
Design effective fixtures for manufacturing of new product lines
Develop solutions to technical problems of varying scope and impact; apply basic engineering principles.

Proven experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting, bringing products from conception through market release and beyond, as well as a proven track record of commercialized products is essential.
Experience with the design and development of complex and precision mechanical device products is a must.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) from four-year college or university; 0-3 years related experience and/or training advantageous; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Experience with SolidWorks is key. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
