    Job Description:

    (Please Note: This is a 100% remote position that requires residence in the United States)

    We're looking for a business development and sales professional to help us take our business to the next level. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal organizations. You will be empowered to build critical relationships with new and existing customers as well as key distribution partners. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment; understanding customer needs and delivering on tactical revenue goals will be your primary responsibilities.

    What You'll Do:

    We are a small company, so you can expect to be an integral part of all go-to-market functions. First and foremost, you will lead our sales efforts. You will report to the Director of Growth and focus on executing direct and indirect sales to meet revenue goals. We'll expect you to help find new business and establish networks across relevant markets. That said, we also expect you to be a team-player capable of adding value in multiple areas including marketing, business strategy, and project management. Please note this position requires 15-50% travel in order to attend trade shows, flight events, and other demonstrations, and/or technology expos.

    • Responsible for all stages of customer interactions from initial contact, through final sales, and follow-up.
    • Travel in support of trade shows, demos, and customer meetings.
    • Grow contacts and create revenue streams across SOCOM, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force customer accounts.
    • Regularly engage with customers and demonstrate products to gain insights and create new leads.
    • Manage customer relationships via a CRM program.
    • Manage and expand channel partnerships, working hand in hand with resellers and business partners to streamline go-to-market execution.
    • Assist customers in meeting their requirements and capability gaps with those capabilities, products, and technologies being developed in relevant defense sectors.
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers to identify new business opportunities, proactively communicate and resolve program issues, and provide strategic direction to program teams.
    • Deliver on sub-annual revenue targets.

    About You:

    You are an exceptional salesperson. There are no educational requirements. We're more interested in your past performance and relevant knowledge, skills, and aptitudes that will make you a solid contributor to our team's business development and sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of strong performance in a business development or sales role focused on DoD. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the unmanned systems and/or intelligence systems markets within DoD. Experience and expertise in software sales or other highly technical sales is strongly preferred. Experience building sales functions from the ground up and achieving tangible results at an early-stage company or newly developed business unit is preferred.

    Finally, operational experience within unmanned systems, special operations, combat arms, or aviation are preferred. The right person for this job will be comfortable traveling regularly to deliver on revenue goals. Ultimately, you are a salesperson through and through with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs.

    Application Process:

    We have a three-stage interview process.

    The first stage is a screener which is a combination of introductions, screening of qualifications, discussion of the role, and confirmation of mutual interest regarding the role and specific expectations. This takes about 20-30 minutes.

    After the screener, if both sides believe it makes sense, we will conduct a round 2 interview. This interview will be proficiency focused. We want to understand your knowledge, skills, and experiences and how they relate to our specific business needs. We appreciate gaining as much evidence-based insights into your capabilities as we can. This generally takes 45-60 minutes.

    The Round 3 interview is focused on culture fit, gaining additional perspectives, and answering follow-ups regarding any areas of interest identified in your resume or in either preceding interview. This takes about 45-60 minutes. Following this interview, you can expect a decision from us within one week.

    Compensation and Benefits: _ ****_

    • $90,000-$135,000 Base Salary
