    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    The Senior Manager, Public Relations is the strategic leader and key executor of Primrose’s public relations strategy, including thought leadership. This position is responsible for generating high-quality, prominent news coverage for the Primrose brand and key stakeholders. She/he will work alongside our executive team and agency partners to lead the planning and execution of media relations tactics.

    The right candidate will have a proven track record of working across a business to deliver cohesive communications programs with specific focus on earned media. They will have a balance of strong strategic communications skills, creativity, and tactical execution.

    Leadership of annual strategic PR plans and activities that elevates Primrose key messages to the appropriate audiences.

    Builds communications programs, creates messaging frameworks, and develops meaningful stories that positively position Primrose within the news. Proactively reports out on the results and analytics.

    Engages with news outlets, reporters, and influencers on behalf of Primrose. Proactively identifies media opportunities and conducts media outreach that can generate high-quality, prominent media coverage for Primrose and its key messages.

    Draft media materials such as press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points and other content.

    Manages the development and execution of master editorial calendar activities for PR.

    Works with the executive team to identify subject areas, key messages, and appropriate content for thought leadership.

    Partners with internal stakeholders to advise on crisis communication responses.

    Supports a Brand Manager in managing and elevating the Children’s Foundation within Primrose’s external messages.

    Provide day to day leadership of a team including providing mentorship, identifying development opportunities, and leveraging talent as a resource for driving business results.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We seek to build teams of individuals who maintain trusted relationships, demonstrate accountability, influence without authority, have a service mindset, agility and curiosity. Our ideal candidate will possess a mix of the following skills and competencies:

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism

    7-10 years’ experience conceptualizing and executing large-scale media relations strategies and programs

    Experience in media relations and executing large-scale media relations strategies and programs

    Experience in crisis communications management planning and support

    PR agency experience is highly-valued

    Experience in a franchised-brand is a plus
