WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility is responsible for assessing and evolving existing programs and developing disciplined, creative approaches for execution of a long-term strategy that supports and enables Primrose Schools’ mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. This individual engages key stakeholders and drives achievement of objectives for the Primrose Children’s Foundation. Our ideal Manager, Social Responsibility will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, project management skills and the interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with diverse audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, counsel and support within Primrose Schools regarding giving and Foundation management including influencing strategy and development and execution of corporate social responsibility tactics
Create, develop and maintain relationships with key charitable partners
Lead outreach efforts for vendor support for capital, operational and/or event support
Oversee the Primrose Children’s Foundation, including vetting all incoming contribution requests
Partner with General Counsel to ensure the Primrose Children’s Foundation is following all applicable laws and governance as well as proactively identifying areas of potential risk
Maintain knowledge of social, economic and education matters that impact the communities Primrose serves
Partner with Public Relations to utilize opportunities to position Primrose as an influencer in the Early Childhood Education industry.
Interact with Team Members at all levels of the company to drive awareness, understanding and achievement of social responsibility goals among Team Members, Franchise Owners and Primrose parents.
Oversee Team Member giving opportunities (financial and time)
Identify key factors that indicate success and actively evaluate the effectiveness of social efforts to seek opportunities to enhance or reallocate funds
Direct activities of and ensure accountability of external agency partners
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate will possess a mix of the following skills and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years’ experience supporting philanthropic work including fundraising and awareness
Experience creating a social responsibility and thought leadership strategy is a plus
Proven experience managing outside agencies, vendors, and partners
Proven ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and deadlines, while continuing to deliver service excellence
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to multiple groups, both up and down/ internal and external
Proven collaborator with the ability to rally multiple resources to accomplish goals
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point, Word, and Excel
Ability to effortlessly transition between tactical and strategic work
