    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Position Description:

    Primrose’s vision is to deliver the best and most trusted early education and care for children and families across America. Our Education team plays a major role in allowing us to deliver on that vision. As a member of the Education team reporting to the Director of Curriculum, the Assessment Specialist ensures that Primrose Schools’ Balanced Assessment program meets program goals, comprehensively measuring student outcomes and informing targeted support.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Serve as Primrose’s subject matter expert in early childhood assessment and primary point of contact for

    Collaborate with external assessment providers to ensure the administration, scoring, and interpretation of assessments align with program goals and standards.

    Research third-party assessments and trends in early childhood measurement to continuously evolve Primrose’s Balanced Assessment program.

    Lead assessment pilots and sampling studies, collaborating with the Analytics team and coordinating the work of outside evaluation firms.

    Clearly and proactively communicate screening windows across PSFC and school leadership teams.

    Create and/or update training and resources to support schools in the implementation of Balanced Assessment. Balanced Assessment. Respond promptly to questions and needs from schools and PSFC field support related to Balanced Assessment.

    Analyze assessment data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement.

    Collaborate with curriculum writers to design and implement formative assessment probes that align with program objectives and standards.

    Ensure the design and implementation of the Portfolio of Evidence component of Balanced Assessment meets school needs and aligns to all applicable state/licensing requirements.

    Lead the development and deployment of training and communications on the administering, scoring, and interpretation of assessments.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We seek to build teams of individuals who maintain trusted relationships, demonstrate accountability, influence without authority, have a service mindset, agility and curiosity. Our ideal candidate will possess a mix of the following skills and competencies:

    · Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or psychology, master’s preferred.

    · 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, psychology, or psychometrics.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point, and Excel.

    · Experience with data visualization programs (such as Tableau) and graphic design systems (such as Adobe Creative Suite).

    · Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write in an established voice.

    · Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to multiple groups, both up and down/ internal and external.

    · Proven ability to stay organized and detail-oriented, while being self-directed and self-motivated

    · Proven collaborator with the ability to rally multiple resources to accomplish goals.
