The Primrose School at Moorefield Station in Ashburn, VA is currently seeking a lead teacher for our after school program, the "Explorer's Club" which will transition to our Summer Camp Director during the summer months.

The Lead Teacher will be responsible for picking up the students in our 14 passenger bus from three local Elementary Schools and transporting them to Primrose during the school year. During the summer months, there will be weekly field trips to be coordinated.

The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall supervision of the daily functions of the Explorer's Club, including, but not limited to:

Overseeing outdoor activities

Assisting with the rotation through activity stations

Supervising "homework help" sessions

Integrating technology into the program

Following the Primrose designed curriculum and daily plans

Keeping the classroom bulletin boards updated

Assisting with all meals and snacks

Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching school aged students in a licensed childcare facility, preschool, public school or summer camp program is required.

Ability to relate positively to elementary aged students is essential to the success of the program.

Experience driving a 14 passenger bus is preferred (no CDL required). Applicants must have a clean driving record.

Must be available to work 10:00 am - 6:00 pm M-F
